This is a theory based course with accompanying practical activities to support technological thinking. Activities are based around meal preparation, practical skills and the performance properties of ingredients.
A supplementary cost is charged to cover the expense of food used in practical lessons.
This course is not suitable for students with severe food allergies

Open Entry, students need to have a genuine interest in food.
Total Credits Available: 18 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 4 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 14 credits.
