Open to all Year 11 2022. 


As assessments are all at Level 2, students selecting this course must have a teacher recommendation and attendance on previous years must be high and no lower than 95% due to the nature of the collaborative work involved in ESTEAM. Year 10 STEAM selection with take into consideration their Community Project performance  and attendance at Innovation Expo is compulsory.  




E-STEAM stands for Entrepreneurship, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths. Our E-STEAM programme will help you lead the way and future-proof yourself and stand out from the crowd.

Innovation is significantly shaping our world having a transformative effect on the world -on businesses, societies, economies, cultures and our personal lives. The future of work is becoming increasingly more difficult to accurately predict or even imagine. The speed of change also calls for an updated skillset, calling for workers to quickly adapt, to learn new approaches to challenges, to think more critically, and to collaborate.

Learners need not just knowledge, but also skills, attitudes and values to thrive in and shape their own future for a more empowered global citizenship. This has never been more evident than in the current pandemic.

 Enterprise STEAM (E-STEAM) provides you with the opportunity to adopt an innovative mindset, develop 21st century skills further including their financial capabilities, business and entrepreneurship skills while having an impact in your community. This option line benefits from a combination of teachers and members of the business community to provide an experience that is both authentic and relevant to the world we live in.  To support your growth and development in the E-STEAM field you will have the opportunity to take part in an internship and learn directly from Businesses and Industries while continuing to grow your Tech and Engineering skills.


Students drive their projects and have agency on what they choose to undertake. Also as part of this option students will complete work experience in a business/industry that aligns to their career pathway and project outcomes. 

Assessments fit around students' project work, students will complete two compulsory standards and choose 2 more from other standards available from different learning areas as per list below, depending on the focus of their chosen projects. Throughout the programme students meet with their mentors which are aligned to their assessment choices and projects. These mentors are learning area specialist within the school.

Total credits available range from 11 to 13credits depending on students' choices.


The standards offered in this course may be altered at the discretion of the TIC of STEAM.
