Level 2 Earth and Space Science
Course Description
The standards offered in this course may be altered at the discretion of the Head of Department.
This course is aimed at those students who wish to continue in Science at Level Two within an Earth and Space Science field. These students would want a general Science background and Science knowledge without needing the in-depth knowledge of Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
There are two field trips – one to Takapuna beach for AS 2.3, and one to Stardome for AS 2.6. The approximate cost for both trips is $20.
Recommended Prior Learning
Students should have achieved 12 credits at a Level 1 Science Achievement Standard Course (11SCIE, 11SCIX), based on Derived Grade Topic Tests and Internal Assessment results. In some circumstances entry may be granted at the discretion of the HOD.
