Physics involves an integration of knowledge, skills and attitudes to develop scientific understanding. Concepts and applications of Forces, Motion, Energy, Electromagnetism, Waves and Atomic Physics will be studied. Practical work provides a key opportunity to extend understanding. Problem solving is an essential part of scientific investigation.
The Level 2 Physics course is a prerequisite for Level 3 Physics.
Recommended Prior Learning
12 credits at Level 1 Science. It is also highly recommended that students have Achieved Maths AS91027 (Algebra) based on the school Entrance Exams.
This course is eligible for subject endorsement.
Total Credits Available: 23 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 16 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 7 credits.
