Level 2 Media Studies

Course Description

In Year 12 Media Studies, students will examine the representation of young women in the media; study a media genre and critically examine the implications of its different aspects; demonstrate understanding of the relationship between a media product and its audience; and design and produce a short film.

The standards offered in this course may be altered at the discretion of the Head of Department.


Pathway

Recommended Prior Learning

14 credits (excluding AS 90854) in Level 1 English (based on Entrance Exams and Internal Assessment results). Strong performance in AS 90850 will be advantageous. The discretion of the Teacher in charge may also be applied, and prerequisites altered if the course is oversubscribed for available places.
