Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr E. Hudson

The Year 11 course will cover familiar social situations and cope with some less familiar ones. Students will be expected to use basic language patterns spontaneously and show a willingness to experiment with new language and to read independently. The following content is subject to change dependent on NCEA specifications.

• Ko wai au – Who am I
• Tētahi haerenga– A trip
• Te Ao Taiohi– The adolescent world

The four essential language skills; listening, speaking, reading comprehension and writing will be assessed against NCEA guidelines.


The standards offered in this course may be altered at the discretion of the Head of Department.
