This course is aimed at those students who wish to continue in Science at Level Two within an Earth and Space Science field. These students would want a general Science background and Science knowledge without needing the in-depth knowledge of Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
There are two field trips – one to Takapuna beach for AS 2.3, and one to Stardome for AS 2.6. The approximate cost for both trips is $20.

Recommended Prior LearningStudents should have achieved 12 credits at a Level 1 Science Achievement Standard Course (11SCIE, 11SCIX), based on Derived Grade Topic Tests and Internal Assessment results. In some circumstances entry may be granted at the discretion of the HOD.
