This course continues to develop skills introduced in NCEA Level 1 standards for solo and group performance, composition, instrumentation, aural and score-reading, and analysis of music works. These standards are integrated to develop student's musicianship in a holistic way.
Students must be learning an instrument through either the itinerant music programme, or with a private teacher.
It is an expectation that students in this course contribute to the co-curricular life of the school.
