The Year 12 course will cover more complex social situations and acknowledge Māori customs in our community. Students will be expected to explain and discuss many of their own ideas and opinions and may use language creatively. The following content is subject to change dependant on NCEA specifications.
• Ko ōku whāinga mō ngā tau kei te heke mai – Future plans
• Te Kawa o te marae – Customs found on the marae
• Te Manaakitanga – Caring for visitors and the environment
The four essential language skills; listening, speaking, reading comprehension and writing will be assessed against NCEA guidelines.
The standards offered in this course may be altered at the discretion of the Head of Department.
