Level 1 Physical Education
Course Description

This course is a combination of both theory and practical. Students will explore ways in which movement can create positive opportunities for people and look at ways in which they can remain active in a range of physical activity contexts. The aim of this course is to promote physical activity and the ability to participate in practical lessons is essential. The topics covered could include; skill learning, interpersonal skills, outdoor education, science around movement (eg: anatomy and biomechanics), and physical activity for life (eg: training programmes). Students participate in an overnight camp experience. This costs approximately $220.00.
New NCEA Level 1 Standards may not yet be loaded. It is expected you will do one internal and one external per course with a total of 10 Credits.
The standards offered in this course may be altered at the discretion of the Head of Department. Please note that we are in the process of looking into alternate camp opportunities and will advise of any changes.
