Level 2 Art Sculpture
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms E. Heslop.
This is a foundation course to establish an understanding of the key elements of sculpture. Students will explore three conventions of sculpture; sculpture as performance, sculpture as object, and sculpture as a metaphoric vessel of the human form. Students will use research of established contemporary practice to influence their independent visual resolutions for each of these conventions. Students create a portfolio, generating and developing their own visual ideas and themes through the study of contemporary artists models around one chosen convention of sculpture.
An achieved or better in Level 1 Art Visual or Level 1 Design and Photography is recommended, or by approval from HOD.
