Studying business enables students to appreciate the issues that challenge businesses and stakeholders. In a rapidly changing world, it is important that citizens are able to make informed and rational decisions about business matters. Business contributes to the development of a culture of enterprise in New Zealand and supports our efforts to improve economic and community well-being. By completing this course successfully students will gain knowledge, skills, and experience to:
• Explore how and why large businesses in New Zealand make operational decisions in response to internal and external factors.
• Plan, take to market, review, and then refine a business activity incorporating a community well-being focus, basing recommendations for the future on market supplementary
costs back.
