Level 3 Art Painting

This course is ideally suited to students who have completed a Level 2 Course in Practical Art, but entry can be granted through other Visual Arts pathways with HOD permission. In Level 3 Painting, students set their individual work proposal and are supported through to the completion of a portfolio. Students will have the opportunity to use a wide range of drawing and paint media including charcoal, conte, pastel, ink, watercolour, oils, and acrylics. Students will spend time generating ideas and extending their skills with paint application and techniques.

Total Credits Available: 22 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 14 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 8 credits.

Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
