Level 3 Outdoor Education

This exciting and energetic course focuses on continuing to develop students ability to apply Risk Management, Leadership, Trip Planning and Sustainability concepts. These concepts are applied through the contexts of Snorkelling, Mountain Biking, and Tramping. The course consists of both theory and practical lessons and is an approved university subject.
The standards offered in this course may be altered at the discretion of the Head of Department.
Maximum of 20 students in a class.
Students must be aware that trips will be during school time, and some weekend days may be used. The approximate cost of this course is $500.
Recommended Prior Learning
Students must access and complete a course application form from the Year 12 Google classroom or from the link at the bottom of this page. This must be handed into Ms Jobe (HOF PE and Sport)
Please note that selection priority will be given to those students who completed 12OUTE successfully in 2020.
Total Credits Available: 25 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 25 credits.

Number of credits that can be used for overall endorsement: 20
Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
