Level 2 & 3 Getting Active, Staying Active

Course Description

Teacher in Charge:

This course is a mostly practical course designed at encouraging active participation in physical activity.

Students will have the opportunity to experience physical activity within a range of different contexts and understand ways in which wellbeing is connected to this. 

Contexts could include: Day trips, gym sessions, challenge activities, sports and games focus, individual training sessions, and many more.

Assessments within this course are unit standard based and could include:

1. Demonstrating competence in exercise techniques

2. Developing and implementing an exercise plan

3. Explaining Hauora and it's principles

Due to the practical nature and experiences planned within this course, there is an approximate cost of $100. This will be confirmed at the beginning of 2024.


This course is open to Year 12 and 13 students and it is NOT a university approved subject

You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
